The first step is to contact your employment counsellor to assess your eligibility and complete your Return to Work Action Plan.

Upon receiving a referral from your Employment Counsellor to the O.S.E.B. program, you will attend an Orientation Session held at the Oxford Small Business Support Centre office. Then, before being signed onto the O.S.E.B. program, you will attend the Business Concept Course where you will learn how to do a preliminary assessment of your business idea and assess your suitability for self employment.

After this course, you will be able to document your ideas and initial research in a Business Concept Proposal. When your Business Concept Proposal is approved and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities confirms your eligibility for the program, you will begin receiving benefits and proceed to the next stage of training.
